Arhar moves down in thin trade

Barring a fall in arhar prices on muted demand from retailers, other pulses held steady at the wholesale pulses market today.
Marketmen said sluggish demand from retailers at prevailing levels against adequate stocks availability led to the decline in arhar prices.
In the national capital, arhar fell by Rs 100 to Rs 7,400, while it remained steady at Rs 10,600-12,300 per quintal, respectively.
Following are today's pulses rates (in Rs per quintal):
Urad Rs 9,000-11,300, Urad Chilka (local) Rs 9,800-10,000, Urad best Rs 9,900-10,500, Dhoya Rs 10,300-10,700, Moong Rs 7,000-7,550, Dal Moong Chilka local Rs 7,450-7,850, Moong Dhoya local Rs 7,850-8,350 and best quality Rs 8,350-8,550.
Masoor small Rs 4,750-5,000, bold Rs 4,800-5,050, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,500-6,000, best quality Rs 5,600-6,100, Malka local Rs 5,650-6,150, best Rs 5,750-6,150, Moth Rs 5,300-5,700, Arhar Rs 7,400, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 10,600-12,300.
Gram Rs 4,700-5,100, Gram dal (local) Rs 4,900-5,200, best quality Rs 5,200-5,400, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 2,140, Rajdhani Rs 2,140, Rajma Chitra Rs 4,950-6,250, Kabuli Gram small Rs 5,200-7,200, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,000-5,200, Peas white Rs 2,900-2,925 and green Rs 3,200-3,300.
