Traders said pickup in demand from retailers in the face of restricted arrivals from producing regions mainly pushed up arhar and rajmah prices.
In the national capital, arhar climbed to Rs 8,200-8,400 from previous level of Rs 7,900-8,000 per quintal. Its dal dara variety moved up by Rs 300 to Rs 9,600-9,750 per quintal, respectively. Rajmah chitra also gained Rs 100 at Rs 4,700-5,800 per quintal on increased demand.
