Armed miscreants loot Rs 10.48 lakh from petrol pump employees

Armed miscreants today looted Rs 10.48 lakh from petrol pump employees in two separate incidents in Bihar's Madhubani and Bhagalpur districts.
The incident in Madhubani occurred when a petrol pump employee Upendra Kumar was going to deposit Rs 5.38 lakh to a nearby SBI branch when the two motorcycle-borne miscreants intercepted him at Narahia Bazar under Laukahi police station of the district and snatched his bike's key at gun point before taking out a bag containing the cash from its dickey, Laukahi police station in-charge Ramchandra Chaupal said.
A probe was on in the matter and raids were being carried out to nab the culprits, the police officer added.
In another incident of loot in Bhagalpur, four motorcycle borne armed miscreants looted Rs 5.10 lakh from a petrol pump employee at a gun point near Rasulpur area under Naugachhia police station of the district.
Naugachhia Sub-Division Deputy Superintendent of Police Mukul Ranjan said that the incident occurred when Pawan Yadav, an employee of 'Saha Fuel Agency', was going to deposit Rs 5.10 lakh to a nearby SBI branch when the bike borne miscreants stopped him and looted the said amount at a gun point.
On the basis of information gathered from the pump employee, police are conducting raids to nab the culprits, he said.
