tools were seized as police busted a firearms manufacturing unit at Haringhata in Nadia district last night.
A district police officer said two persons were arrested and besides finished/semi-finished firearms, tools and parts like barrel pipes, trigger spring, lathe machine were seized during the raids at Haringhata under Kalyani sub-division.
"We have recovered 7 pipe guns and busted a manufacturing unit.... One Ilias Mondal alias Ali Bhai and Fajllur Tarafder of Mitrapur were arrested....More raids will follow," SDPO, Kalyani, Kaustavdipta Acharjee said.
The Haringhata raids followed CID busting clandestine arms making unit at Saguna recently.
The accused had criminal cases pending against them in past.
