Army bids adieu to rifleman Bimal Tamang

The army today bid adieu to the rifleman Bimal Tamang who lost his life in a ceasefire violation from the Pakistani side along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday.
"Wreath laying ceremony was held in honour of the brave martyr Rifleman Bimal Tamang who laid down his life guarding the Nations frontiers while serving the LoC in Rajouri Sector," an army spokesman said.
He said that a military send off was organised wherein, General Officer Commanding, 25 Infantry Division laid a wreath on behalf of Lieutenant General DS Hooda, Army Commander Northern Command and Lieutenant General AK Sharma, General Officer Commanding, White Knight Corps.
Rifleman Tamang, (20), belonged to Dharan, Nepal and is survived by his mother, Nirmaya Tamang.
He was a dedicated, brave, sincere soldier and a thorough professional, he loved his job to the core, he said.
"The nation will remain indebted to him for the supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty. He will continue to motivate the future generations," the spokesman said.
