Army brass calls on Governor, briefs him on security situation

Northern Army Command chief Lt Gen K T Parnaik today called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor here and briefed him about various aspects of the recent attempts of infiltration by militants from across the Line of Control (LoC).
Parnaik also updated the Governor about recent developments in Eastern Ladakh, along the Line of Actual Control, an official spokesman said after the meeting at Raj Bhavan here.
He said the Governor and the Northern Army Commander discussed issues relating to internal and external security situation in the state.
Corps Commander of Srinagar-based 15 Corps Lt Gen Om Prakash was present during the meeting, the spokesman added.
