Army cancels recruitment drive

The Indian Army has cancelled a recruitment rally scheduled to take place at the RCTC grounds in Barrackpore from March 10-16 due to the Election Commission's model code of conduct.
The recruitment was planned for four districts of North-24 Parganas, Hooghly, Bankura and Purulia.
The rally stands cancelled due to the model code of conduct currently in place in view of the forthcoming general elections, an Army spokesperson said.
Fresh dates for the rally will be announced after the elections.
