Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will release the book at a function to be held at the Military Station in the city, a Defence release said.
The work co-authored by Kunal Verma and Dipti Bhalla and commissioned by the Army was undertaken as a project of the Indian Army with an aim of highlighting the wonders of the North-East states, the release said.
The national release of the book was done by Gen Singh in New Delhi on Army Day on January 15 last.
The three-set pictorial work, has been conceived as a tribute to the bio-diversity, cultural vibrancy and anthropological richness of the North Eastern region.
The three volumes have been titled "East of Kangchendzonga", "Brahma's Creation" and "Children of the Dawn", respectively.
The trilogy together run into 1294 pages, including pictures of panoramic beauty of the region and highlights of the culture and heritage of the communities of the area.
The first volume encompasses Sikkim, North Bengal, Assam and Meghalaya, the second Arunachal Pradesh and the final volume Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura and Mizoram.
