Army organises para-sailing camp to commemorate Sunil Kumar

Army today organised a para-sailing camp at Chinka, Talwara in district Reasi in memory of sepoy Sunil Kumar, who was killed while combating terrorists on August 26, 2009.
"The camp was set up by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, based at Sarh, under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) and was inaugurated by GOC, (CIF-U), Major General H S Gill with an aim to inculcate and develop flair for adventure and outdoor life amongst the youths," Defence spokesperson, S N Acharya, said here.
During the inauguration, a group of 20 Army personnel and five local girls were given an opportunity to experience the thrill of para-sailing.
"Subsequently, in coming weeks, more locals will be trained and given a chance to experience this exhilarating sport. The youth of the district will immensely benefit from the venture. This is an attempt to provide the youth with an opportunity to soar to the sky," the GOC said on the occasion.
