Army paid floral tributes to jawan killed fighting militants

Army today paid floral tributes with full military honours to Lance Naik Mohan Nath Goswami who had laid down his life while fighting the militants in forests of Handwara area of Kupwara District yesterday.
"The valour and sacrifice of the Late solider was paid tribute in a solemn ceremony held at Badami Bagh Cantonment, here," a defence spokesman said.
Lance Naik Mohan Nath Goswami, who hailed from Nainital, was a member of the Army team that undertook a day-long operation yesterday in Haphruda forest of Handwara in which four militants were killed.
The Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen Satish Kumar Dua and all ranks of Corps laid wreath as a mark of honour for the brave soldier.
Wreaths were also laid on behalf of the Army Chief and Northern Army Commander, the spokesman said.
