The response after the online process started for the rally is encouraging and 2,500 youths have registered themselves for the rally till now, ARO Director Col Sudhir Singh said.
The recruitment is for four categories - soldier general, soldier technical, soldier clerk and soldier stores keeper, he said adding the rally will be held with the support of Yavatmal district administration.
The ARO had a meeting with Yavatmal District Collector Sachindra Pratap Singh to finalise the arrangements.
The tests of the candidate for consuming any performance enhancing drug will be a major task and its results will be available immediately, Singh said.
This rally will be for the year 2016-2017. The previous rally, held last year at Bhandara, had evoked good response, he said.
About 37,825 youths had turned up for the rally and 660 of them were selected after clearing all the three tests like physical, medical and written. 640 of them joined the Indian Army, Col Singh added.
