The Northern Command of the Indian Army celebrated its 46th Raising Day today.

On this day, the troops of 'Dhruva' Command rededicated themselves to the service of the nation and re-affirmed their resolve to work for a safe and secure environment in J&K.
The Northern Command was raised on 17 Jun 1972 and has the unique responsibility of guarding the Nation's borders with both Pakistan and China.
Deployed in extremely inhospitable and hazardous environment which includes Siachen, the troops of the Command continue to serve with utmost zeal and enthusiasm, drawing inspiration from the saga of bravery and sacrifice of their predecessors.
