The recruitment will be conducted for the posts of JCO (junior commissioned officer) and other ranks, Saha said.
Earlier the recruitment was conducted at open rallies, which entailed screening of documents of thousands of candidates who gathered and other scrutinies, creating management issues.
With the online system, the recruitment procedure will be easy to manage, said Saha.

After the application is submitted, the candidate will get a message on cell-phone and by email.
The Ministry of Defence has allowed phase one of online recruitment, under which there would be a written test (after the online submission of applications), followed by the physical test and medical examination, he said.
The phase 2 is awaiting the approval of the ministry,which is likely within a year, said Saha. As per the phase 2 plan, there would be an online Common Entrance Exam (CEE). It would be followed by physical tests and medical examination.
