Army trains wards of ex-servicemen for recruitment in forces

Army has provided a two-week long training to wards of ex-servicemen for their recruitment in its forces.
The pre-recruitment training organised for the wards of ex-servicemen of Poonch and Rajouri Districts organised by the Army under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force (Romeo) was concluded at Rajouri, PRO Defence S N Acharya said today.
The training was conducted from 29 Apr to 10 May, and was attended by 15 boys.
This training is aimed to prepare, guide and train the youth under close supervision of qualified Army instructors for recruitment in the Armed Forces, Acharya said.
The boys were selected to undergo training after their initial medical and document check, he said, adding, that the selected boys were then imparted training on various facets of selection procedure for recruitment in the Army and other Central Armed Police.
The training included honing the physical and academic skills of these individuals, he said.

During the course of the training guest lectures were organised for these boys by the Army personnel who have been involved in the recruitment process, thereby giving the boys an insight into the selection procedure.
Army will organise a week-long recruitment rally at Zorawar Stadium at Sunjuwan Cantonment in Jammu for the candidates of Jammu division from May 30, PRO said.
An Army Recruitment Rally will be held at Sunjuwan in Jammu from May 30 to Jun 5 for for the posts of Soldier General Duties (GD), Soldier Clerk (Clk), Soldier Store-Keeper-Technical (SKT), Soldier Technical (Tech) and Soldier Technical Nursing Assistant (NA) for candidates of Jammu Division.
Screening of candidates will start at 5 AM on each day of the rally.
