Army XI, Bangaluru beat Aryans 4-2, sails in Bihar Cup final

Army XI, Bangaluru stormed into the final of the 3rd All India Football Tournament for the Bihar Cup beating Kolkata's Aryans Club 4-2 via shoot-out in the first semi-final played at the Moin-ul Haque stadium here today.
In a photo finish semi-final, the Army men overpowered the Kolkatan outfit in the penalty shootout after a goalless 120-minute battle.
Army XI dominated the first-half throughout but failed to convert the opportunities.
The Aryans players, in the second-half, regrouped and unleashed back-to-back forays into the Army XI citadel but its strikers Sayon Dutta, Kartik Kisku were unsuccessful in finding the target.
In the ensuing tie-breaker, Army XI's Sanjay Rana, Harjeet Singh, Vanlal Teka and Ramu found the net, while Santur Singh missed the target.
For the Kolkata team, only Kartick Kisku and Bishwajeet Dev managed to score.
In the second semi-final tomorrow, Punjab Police will meet the Bangalore District Football Association.
