Official sources said a group of bandh supporters clashed with police and CRPF personnel at a place near Naranarayan Setu in the district.

The bandh supporters threw stones at the personnel in which two policemen were injured. Police and CRPF fired a few rounds in the air and resorted to lathicharge to disperse the mob.

The exact number of civilians injured in the clash are yet to be ascertained, the sources said.

The bandh was called by Ana Rabha Samanyarakshi Samiti to protest against state government's plan to hold elections to Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council.
