Arrangements complete for Bru repatriation

Mizoram government has made all necessary arrangements to receive 121 Bru families who have agreed to return to the state from North Tripura refugee camps on their own from September 30, a senior official said today.
"All Administrative Officers (AOs) and other officials including medical personnel have been given a detailed briefing about the works to be done," state Joint Secretary for Home Lalbiakzama said, after attending the meeting of the 'Core Committee on Bru Repatriation' in the border town Mamit.
The Bru families would be received at the three facilitation centres - New Eden, Zomuantlang and Kanhmun, he said, adding that bona fide residents of Mizoram would be taken to 15 different villages for resettlement.
