Addressing reporters here, Borase said 50 check posts would be set up at various spots in the district to prevent unruly elements from creating trouble.
Around 25 check posts had already been set up.
All vehicles passing through the posts would be checked, he said, adding, the posts would be equipped with cameras.
Teams of state rural police and district armed police would also be deployed.
Borase said the police had "executed Rs 10 lakh bonds" on all persons against whom cases were registered in nine incidents of violent protests during Tipu Jayanthi celebrations last year.
