A group of ABVP members today staged a protest at Delhi Police headquarters here demanding immediate arrest of those identified in the raw footage of the controversial JNU event on February 9, which was declared authentic by the CBI lab here earlier this month.
The entire area was barricaded as the protesters gathered outside the main gate of the headquarters and several police teams were deployed.
A six-member delegation of the protesters was allowed to meet a Joint Commissioner-rank officer and submit a memorandum, ABVP's Delhi State Secretary, Bharat Khatana said.
"We demand immediate arrest of all offenders, filing of chargesheet in a time-bound manner, investigation into the place where the accused had taken sanctuary after the February 9 event, the people who provided them shelter and criminal prosecution of a group of teachers who were active in canard that the videos were doctored," he said.
The protest was organised and the memorandum submitted in light of the CBI lab's report which fond video footage of the event authentic, he added.
