A mother of two, the woman, lodged an FIR at the police station yesterday and accused Jena of repeatedly raping her since 2013, a senior police officer said today.
Ganjam SP Ashish Singh said, "A case has been registered against Ramesh Jena on charge of repeatedly raping a widow and filming the act. Complaint has also been lodged against one of his associates Bidu Bisoi."
While Jena was not available for comment as he is lodged in the jail there was no communication from his lawyer's side.
The woman, whose husband had died of cerebral malaria in 2004, alleged the accused had raped her in 2013 and filmed the act. She alleged that he raped her three-four months later and then again on January 28, 2016.
The woman said she could muster the courage to file an FIR against the accused after he was arrested over several criminal charges.
