The deceased was produced before a court which sent her in judicial custody for two weeks on August 10, Piplani police station inspector Manish Mishra said.

Passing the buck on police, Patel alleged that the law enforcers might not have screened her properly while taking her into custody, adding, Saraswati had hid poison inside her robe.
Inspector Mishra, however, said Saraswati was checked thoroughly by a woman constable after being arrested, following which she was taken to a hospital for medical check-up and then to the court.
According to police, the deceased had thrashed her husband, injuring him grievously over some domestic discord. He passed away on June 1.
But during the investigations, Saraswati confessed to her crime, Mishra added.
Meanwhile, a judicial probe has been ordered into the suicide, police said.
