The jail superintendent, Kripa Shankar Pandey, was suspended and arrested yesterday after he was booked for indecent activity with a minor girl after a photograph of the incident went viral on social media.
Taking note of media reports that Pandey was enjoying hospitality at police station in Kisanganj in a room instead of being placed in the lock up, the CM asked Jail Inspector General Anand Kishore and Kisanganj SP Rajiv Ranjan as why the arrested Jail Superintendent was kept not put behind bars.
Some private TV channels showed the arrested Jail Superintendent comfortably talking over mobile phone.
The action followed in the wake of 'indecent activity' of the Jail Superintendent was captured on camera and went viral on social media.
Kisanganj SP told PTI that the SHO has been suspended and the arrested Jail Superintendent forwarded to jail in 14 days judicial custody.
IG Prisons Anand Kishore said he has been ordered to shift Pandey to Bhagalpur jail from Kisanganj.
