Arrow Coated ties up with Tsukioka Film Pharma Co

Arrow Coated Products today said it has entered into an exclusive supply cooperation agreement with Tsukioka Film Pharma Company from Japan for developing edible soluble filmstrips.
Tsukioka Film Pharma is a health science company, manufacturing a wide range of pharmaceutical formulations as edible soluble film strips, which is a 142.5 million Japanese yen company, having an USFDA plant in Japan.
As per the agreement, it will develop edible soluble filmstrips containing active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), vaccines, nutraceuticals and other remedies taken together for dosing by mouth or otherwise, a company statement said here.
Arrow owns two more patents i.E. Drug Delivery Systems & Matrix, which is part of health and hygiene cluster of patents.

Relationship with Tsukioka is important for Arrow, as this will lead the MMS (Mouth Melting Strip Division) into pharma, health and hygiene sector. Arrow has been test marketing MMS oral hygiene product under the brand name Meltz.
Oral drug delivery system using MMS technology has now been established as a leading and most effective method of drug delivery. This method has seen a huge demand in India, as well as in developed markets, worldwide.
The BSE-listed Arrow Coated Products has manufacturing units at Ankleshwar and Surat and Gujarat and has subsidiary company in UK and distributors in USA, Switzerland, Germany and Brazil.
