The 4-day-long exhibition, titled "Eternal Peace" which opened on May 6 marked the launch of Groupum Gallery which will soon be coming up at Safdarjung Enclave here.
"Through launch of Groupum Art Gallery we aim to showcase the work of artists from around the world. The gallery will be a unique and flexible space, adaptable to a diverse range of exhibitions," says Anju Gupta, gallery founder.
The show is a mix of both veteran and budding Indian artists including contemporary artists like Niren Sen Gupta, Prince Chand, Gagan Vij, Yash Jaiswal, Vimal Chand, Madhu Priya, Poonam Kohli, Radhy Shyam and Kuldeep Kumar.
From brightly hued acrylic abstracts of nature placed besides sensuous yet dark images of the female body to chaotic compositions of violence across international borders pinned alongside serene portraits of Buddhist monks, the event is a well curated mixture of contrasting subjects, resonating the common theme of "Eternal Peace.".
