Artistes of Sahitya Kala Parishad & Punjab Academy perform

Artistes of Sahitya Kala Parishad and Punjabi Academy today performed at an event in Janakpuri to mark Karva Chauth.
Lt Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands Jagdish Mukhi was present on the occasion. It was organised by the city-based Mahila Jagrati Sangh.
Mukhi stated that the festival holds a very important place in Indian culture and tradition and was a symbol of "devotion and sacrifice" of married women.
Dusshera ground in Janakpuri, that hosted the event, saw the enthusiastic participation of a large number of women and a dandiya competition.
