Of them, 1130 are for teaching staff which include 349 posts for science and mathematics.
Nines posts of principals are approved for higher secondary schools, government spokesman Bamang Felix said in a statement today.
Secondary schools will get 857 posts including 83 head masters/vice principals and 744 trained graduate teachers.
The cabinet meeting held yesterday also approved creation of 57 new posts of teaching and 55 non-teaching staff in State Council for Education Research and Training, District Institute of Education and Training and Block Institute of Teachers' Education.
In order to fill the required posts after creation of new districts, a total of 49 posts of various categories was approved by the cabinet.
The cabinet decided to complete the recruitment process through Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission as per norms, Felix added.
