The board will work for the welfare of the Puroik community.
The Puroiks are considered as bonded labourers in the state.
The board would study the socio-economic conditions of Puroiks and ensure that all schemes of central and state governments reach them, an official release informed here today.
The board would also make specific recommendations to the state government through the Social Justice, Empowerment and Tribal Affairs(SJETA)department.
SJETA is the nodal department to achieve all round development of the Purioks and bring them into the mainstream of the society like other tribal people of state, the release added.
