The GoC was addressing the troops and civil population at Yingkiong in Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday during the closing ceremony of Army Adventure Challenge Cup, a defence release said here today.
"The Army has decided to shift its main aqua sports base from Uttarakhand to Arunachal Pradesh since the challenges here are tougher and of international standards. White Water Rafting in the turbulent Siang is the most exciting and at the same time dangerous too," Krishna said.
The Army Adventure Challenge Cup was held at Yingkiong from December 17 to 21.
During the event, the participants had to negotiate rugged and Rough Mountain cycling for 12-km, running for 12-km and white water rafting for around 10-km in the Siang river.

In all 12 teams from all the six commands of the Army, namely Northern, Eastern, Western, Southern, Central and South-West commands took part in the event.
The Army Adventure Challenge Cup started in 2001 in a bid to enhance the level of competitiveness among the army men in adventure sports.
Till 2010 it was an annual affair, however, after that the event is being held every two years.
