Ashok Leyland May sales up 40% to 9,294 units

Sales of heavy and medium commercial vehicles rose by 41% at 6,892 units in May

Hinduja Group's flagship company Ashok Leyland today reported a 40.13 per cent hike in total sales at 9,294 units in May as against 6,632 units in the same period last year.

Sales of heavy and medium commercial vehicles rose by 41.11 per cent at 6,892 units in May as against 4,884 units in the year-ago period, the company said in a filing to the BSE.

Light commercial vehicles sales also rose by 37.41 per cent and stood at 2,402 units compared with 1,748 units in May 2014.
