Assam, Andhra win in Buch Babu

Assam top order batsmen Pallav Das (156) and unbeaten Gokul Sharma (145) stitched a solid 254 stand for the second wicket to help Assam beat Kerala, while Andhra's K Sreekanth (112) helped his team defeat Bengal in the All India Buchi Babu Memorial invitational cricket tournament here today.
In the other matches Haryana, Karnataka and two Tamil Nadu teams (TNCA XI and TNCA Districts) won their respective matches. At the end of the second round, Andhra and the hosts teams remain on top in their respective groups have tallied eight points each from winning the games today.
