As soon as the Assembly began, AIDUF MLA Makjibur Rahman alleged that the government has not obeyed the recent order of governor Janaki Ballav Patnaik to confiscate illegal arms from the hands of Bodo militants.

The AIUDF MLAs created a ruckus and disrupted proceedings in the Question Hour forcing speaker Pranab Gogoi to adjourn the House for ten minutes.

Soon after the proceedings started, 18 AIUDF MLAs in the 126 member House, pressed for an adjournment motion which the speaker refused to allow.

Pandemonium prevailed for more than an hour as the AIUDF MLAs alleged that illegal arms were in the hands of Bodo ultras and those has to be confiscated after recent clashes in lower Assam which had claimed nearly 100 lives.

Irked over the refusal of the speaker to admit the adjournment motion, the AIUDF MLAs staged a walkout and later announced they are going to boycott the next four days of Assembly session if the adjournment session was not allowed.

On behalf of the government, senior minister Rockybul Hussain said the House was prepared for a discussion but the matter should be brought according to rules and Assembly procedures.
