Assam govt announced holiday on Apr 4

Assam Government today declared public holiday on April 4 in the areas falling under those assembly constituencies which is going to the polls in the first phase.
The government has declared public holiday under the NI Act, 1881 read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs notification no 20/25/26/PUB-I dated 08.06.1957, a government release said today.
This declaration is made in respect of all central government offices, public sector undertakings, corporations/ boards, banks, educational institutions and others.
The constituencies where the holiday has been declared are Ratabari, Patharkandi, Karimganj North, Karimganj South, Badarpur, Hailakandi, Katlichera, Algapur, Silchar, Sonai, Dholai, Udharbond, Lakhipur, Barkhola, Katigora, Haflong, Bokajan and Howraghat.

The others are Diphu, Baithalangsu, Paneri, Udalguri, Majbat, Dhekiajuli, Barchalla, Tezpur, Sootea, Biswanath, Behali, Gohpur, Bokakhat, Sorupathar, Rongapara, Chabua, Golaghat, Khumtai.
Dergaon, Jorhat, Majuli, Naharkatia, Titabor, Mariani, Teok, Aamguri, Mahmora, Nazira, Sonari, Thowra, Sivasagar, Bihpuria, Naobaisa, Lakhimpur, Sadiya, Dhakuakhana, Dhemaji, Jonai, Moran, Dibrugarh, Lahowal, Duliajaan, Margherita, Doomdooma, Digboi, Tinsukia, Tinkhong comprise the rest.
