The state government ordered the merger of the two directorates through a notification issued to this effect on July 1, said a government release here.
The merger came into effect without any change in the nomenclature of the existing Directorate of Secondary Education and its attached offices, if any, the release said.
With this, all the offices and staff of the Directorate of Madrassa Education shall automatically be under the administrative control of the Directorate of Secondary Education.
Consequent upon the merger, the subjects dealt with by the Directorate of Madrassa Education is allocated in favour of the Directorate of Secondary Education with immediate effect, the release said.
