Assam Guv greets people on Ramadan

Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit today wished the people of the state on the occasion of Ramadan, the holy month of the Muslims beginning tomorrow.
"My warm greetings to the Muslim brethren of Assam and north east on the occasion of Ramadan, a month for the community to observe dawn to dusk fast to cleanse the soul and come closer to God," the Governor said in a statement here.
"Ramadan also gives an opportunity to rekindle our sensibility and extend ourselves to charity to the mankind," he said.
