"RGU aims to offer nationally and internationally integrated oppurtunities to create global citizens," RGU Chancellor A K Pansari told reporters here today.
The region has witnessed a huge exodus of students in pursuit of quality education and employment in other parts of the country and "We had set up the Royal Group of Institutions (RGI) in 2009, offering courses in Engineering, Management, Architecture and Commerce," he pointed out.
Pansari further said the University is being set up to achieve academic excellence through innovatively designed, research intensive, industry-oriented education to incorporate community service and install ethical conduct and compassion amongst the stakeholders.
The University will primarily focus on value-based quality education with a global perspective and groom students in pursuing both their profession and passion, RGU Vice Chancellor Dr S P Singh said.
He said the University is also exploring tie-ups with various foreign universities and several Memorandum of Understandings are expected to be signed in the near future.
