Assault case accused move HC for bail

All ten accused arrested in a case registered by police in connection with alleged assault of a CBI inspector today moved the Madras High Court Bench here seeking bail.
E Samy and nine others submitted that FIR had been registered against them both by the local police and the CBI and the CBI court had already granted them bail. The petitioners submitted that they were accused of assaulting the CBI inspector at the local office of the Excise department on April 8 when he came to to set a trap against the Excise Superintendent Ashok Raja, who allegedly demanded Rs.75,000 as bribe from one Muruguganandham for adjudication with regard to impostion of tax.
As the court had given bail in the CBI case,he may be given bail in the case filed by the local police.
