"If these committees function in proper manner, keeping the objectives behind their formation (in mind), most of the problems and issues pertaining to different sectors would be addressed in an effective way," he said, adding, "but they do not work in proper manner."
He was addressing a gathering of Jodhpur-based industrialists here at a conference titled "Strategies for Promoting Exports from Rajasthan", organised by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) in association with Exim Bank.
Referring to problems faced by the industry, Meghwal said he would take up the demands of industry in the next Budget session.
He said the industrial sector needs to be given the importance it deserves as it is the only sector which addresses the problems of unemployment and ensures bread and butter for the weaker sections of society.
