The results of the assembly elections in five states would be important and affect the poll prospects of all political parties, Bahuguna, on the last day of campaigning, said in an interaction with reporters at PCC office here.
"These elections are important because after this there are Lok Sabha elections," he said and expressed confidence that the Congress will again form government in Rajasthan.
Lambasting BJP he said that the felicitation of MLAs allegedly involved in Muzaffarnagar riots spoke about the nature of the party. "Their (BJP) thinking is not that of taking everybody along," he said.
He said that while the Congress government of Rajasthan was helping Uttarakhand government in the relief operations after the mid-June flashflood calamity, Vasundhra Raje was nowhere seen during the relief and rescue efforts.
On a question on Narendra Modi, Bahuguna said the BJP leader was active in Rajasthan as his party had failed to live up to the expectations of people during its previous tenure (2003-8).
