Assent to formation of commission for grp C vacancies in UP

Uttar Pradesh assembly today gave its assent to the constitution of a commission for recruitment in group "C" vacancies in all state government departments.
The state government had earlier promulgated an ordinance to constitute the "UP Subordinate Service Selection Commission".
The "UP Subordinate Service Selection Commission Bill 2014" was presented in the assembly today replacing the ordinance which was passed by voice vote.
Earlier, all the departments used to make recruitments for group "C" posts separately but with this it would be now done collectively in a transparent and proper manner.
As per the Bill, the said commission would be on the lines of UP Public Service Commission.
