Assocham on Friday opened its office in Jammu, seeking to launch investment initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir, focussing on tourism and industrial development.
The office was inaugurated by J&K Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu, the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Assocham) stated.
Inaugurating the office, Murmu said his government is keen on organising high-level investment summits on industry and tourism.
Exhorting industry to look for greater investment opportunities in the state, Murmu said efforts would be made to ensure a grand success of the planned industry and investment summits.
He said the youth of J&K are quite enthusiastic about various start-up initiatives of the government in partnership with industry organisations.
