'Atlanta' star does a Kanye West at Critics Choice Awards

"Atlanta" star Keith Stanfield pulled a Kanye West by storming onstage after losing to "Silicon Valley" in the best comedy series category at 22nd Annual Critics' Choice Awards.
Leslie Mann and Christian Slater presented the award to HBO's "Silicon Valley" but before the cast could give the acceptance speech, Stanfield rushed to the stage with his own little speech.
"I want to thank everybody for honoring us in this way. We worked very hard on Silicon Valley and here are we. Thank you," the actor said to a stunned audience.
Executive producer Tom Lassally awkwardly paced behind Stanfield until ultimately making a quick exit. "I have no idea who that was," Lassally initially responded.

"Unfortunately, Alec Berg was sick tonight so he and I are both last minute substitutions for this. So on behalf of Alec and Mike Judge and the cast, just want to thank the critics for supporting the show again and thank all of our friends and partners at HBO," Lassally said.
"Silicon Valley" successfully fought off competition from "Atlanta", "Black-ish", "Fleabag", "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt", "Modern Family" and "Veep" in the category but it seems Stanfield thought the award should have gone to their show.
Stanfield's co-star Donald Glover won the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on the FX show.

West had infamously interrupted Taylor Swift's VMAs acceptance speech by storming onstage and claiming that the trophy should have gone to Beyonce Knowles, who was also nominated in the category.
