Atta prices surge on uptick in demand, rising trend in wheat

Atta prices rose at the wholesale market grain market in the national capital today following pickup in demand and rising trend in wheat prices.
Sooji and Maida also edged higher.
Marketmen said apart from better demand, rising trend in wheat prices also influenced atta and other wheat product prices.
Other grains including rice, after moving in a tight range on little doing, settled around previous closing.
In the national capital, chakki atta (delivery) rose by Rs 10 at Rs 1,720-1,735 per 90 kg bag. Prices of roller flour mills rose by Rs 10 to Rs 895-910 per 50 kg.
In line with general trend, Rrajdhani and Shakti bhog atta also gained Rs 10 each to trade at Rs 230 per 10 kg bags each.
Prices of Maida and Sooji too inched higher by Rs 10 each to Rs 955-960 and Rs 1,075-1,080 per quintal.
