communication for boosting economy of the state, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today asked the administration to expedite land acquisition process for the 31.50 km 4-lane highway from Banderdewa to Chandranagar near here.
Khandu convened a high level meeting with chief secretary, commissioners, secretaries, district administration and high ranking officials of PWD (Highways) to discuss the status of Trans Arunachal Highway and Itanagar-Banderdewa four-lane highway, an official communique informed.
Khandu instructed Capital DC Sandeep Kumar Singh, Chief Estate Officer Talo Potom and the officials of PWD (Highways) to make a thorough study and survey of the route keeping in mind the guidelines of the union Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways (MoRTH).
As the widening of the road would require eviction in the built up areas as well as land acquisition in aligning the 4-lane highway, the chief minister asked them to explore all negotiation process, to convince the project affected people by involving local representatives and Itanagar Municipal Council.
