A team of consultants from the country visited India recently and held discussions with a number of government organisations and industry bodies to seek suggestions on implementation of PPP model in infrastructure.
"India is very successful in collaborating with private agencies on executing big projects. We want to take lessons from the country," Infrastructure Australia Board member Nicole Lockwood said.
India is also negotiating a free trade agreement with Australia and is expected to complete by the end of 2015.
