Australia win toss, elect to bat

Australia captain Steven Smith won the toss and elected to bat in the third cricket Test against India at the MCG here today.
Both sides made two changes from their playing XIs at the second Test. Joe Burns -- making his Test debut -- and Ryan Harris come in for Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Marsh for Australia.
For India, 22-year-old Lokesh Rahul gets his first Test cap and Mohammed Shami also makes it to the playing XI. They replaced Varun Aaron and Rohit Sharma. Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar failed to make it in the eleven as he is still not fully fit for Test match cricket.
