Australian Envoy meets Har DGP

A three-member delegation led by Australian High Commissioner to India, Patrick Suckling, today met the Haryana DGP and discussed security of Australians staying or traveling in the state and offered to provide scientific aids to police to conduct probe and traffic management.
DGP Yash Pal Singal urged the High Commissioner for speedy sharing of information related to safety and security of Australians residing in Haryana through prescribed channels, an official release said here.
The delegation also offered to coach the trainers of Haryana Police in investigation, scientific aids to conducting a probe and traffic management.
Apart from drug menace, the issue of terrorism, both national and international, was discussed and both agreed to work jointly in this area, the release said.
Suckling said that after China, South Korea and Japan, Australia considers India as an ideal country in terms of global market, and Haryana being close to Delhi, is an ideal destination for investment.
The delegation met Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar yesterday, and expressed keen interest in investing in several sectors including agriculture, animal husbandry, tourism, health and education.
