"The talks (on bilateral agreement) with Abu Dhabi are taking place tomorrow," aviation ministry sources said here.
A joint-secretary rank official is leaving for Abu Dhabi tonight to hold discussions, they said.
The talks come close on the heels of private carrier Jet Airways seeking 41,000 additional seats on the sector in view of its proposed expansion plans.
Currently, all domestic carriers taken together are allowed to operate 13,300 seats per week on the India-Abu Dhabi route besides a two per cent operational flexibility as per the existing bilateral rights.
Other domestic carriers have also sought massive expansion in seat capacities.
In all, India-Abu Dhabi bilateral needs to expand to 53,897 seats per week, Jet Airways had said.
