Singh, a four-term BJP MLC and a former minister, filed his nomination papers for the post of chairman of the state legislative council today.
The result will be declared tomorrow.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Leader of Opposition in the legislative council Gulam Gaus were present during the filing of nomination.
The post fell vacant in May last after the then chairman Tarakant Jha retired as the member of the council.
