Azad appreciates measures taken by Gogoi to eradicate polio

Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has appreciated the measures taken by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi for eradicating polio from Assam.
In a letter to Gogoi, Azad said Assam could eradicate polio from the state due to the Chief Minister's efforts.
According to a release from the Chief Minister's office today, Azad's letter said India's success in eradicating polio has attracted world attention.
This success was due to the determined will of the political leadership, proper utilisation of funds and the efforts of the health workers, the letter added.
