Flanked by his wife and famous Kashmiri singer Shamima Azad, and Son Saddaam Nabi, the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister attired in Dogra turbans as he took out road shows in Kathua and Hirangar areas to woo the voters.
Describing Congress party as "synonym to development, secularism and national integrity" he said the "130-year-old party has played great role in the Country's freedom struggle".
Interacting with the people at numerous border villages, including Ghagwal, Sanoora, Rajpura, Lala Chack, Sherpur, Jaandi and Hirnagar Town, Azad said he was aware of hardship being faced by the border residents who always bear brunt of shelling from across the border.
